Seasonal workshops and retreats - https://buytickets.at/theexhaleawakening We're glad you're here. Sharyn and Marie - http://theexhaleawakening.com/ More about the session A gentle invitation into the quietest form of breath. This light breathing practice helps you soften effort, calm the nervous system, and rest in subtle awareness. In this segment of Mid Week Exhale, we explore the third component of light, slow and deep breathing: light breathing. You are guided to bring your attention to the nose and the sensation of breath entering and leaving the nostrils, breathing so softly that the air is barely perceptible. Using the image of an imaginary feather resting on the upper lip, this practice encourages minimal airflow and gentleness rather than control. You’re reminded that air hunger can arise, and that it’s okay to take a slightly deeper breath before returning to comfort. This is framed as the most challenging of the three breath styles, with repeated invitations to stay kind and remain within ease. The segment closes with a return to natural breathing, followed by silence and birdsong, offering space to reflect on the felt experience of light breathing and how it compares to slow and deep breath practices explored earlier in the session.
