10:14am Jan 14, 2025 After filming near the new North Petaluma Station, I came and setup here and a southbound snuck up on me so I stayed for a 2nd train this northbound. As you can see, this crossing is mid upgrade due to the Great Redwood Trail/SMART Pathway Project. The new signals has been installed behind the active older signals and a signal foundation for a pedestrian signal or exit gate with no signal installed yet. This crossing will be converted to a non cantilever crossing. Looks to be a waste replacing the left shoulder signal for a same mast type signal as it when SMART could keep at least that signal here at this crossing as it was installed back in the late 2000s. Currently don't know the current status of this crossing if it's been converted to the new setup by now and rebuilt since I can't monitor it and the other crossings along here getting updated. (UPDATE) The signals here were replaced and crossing was rebuilt now. From my understanding, the NWP doesn't work this line North of this crossing anymore.
