After Months Away… Our French Life Update

After months of silence… we’re finally back on YouTube. In this video we take you along for a little life update from our life in France — why we took a break, what we’ve been working on meanwhile, and how things have been behind the scenes. Last summer we filmed quite a bit while working outside and creating a new attic bedroom for our eldest. That footage has been waiting ever since July, so today we’re sharing it together with a little update from the present. A lot has happened over the past months, and even though the camera was often off, life here definitely didn’t slow down. We’re currently renovating again — this time on the ground floor — and we can’t wait to show you more of that in the next video. Thanks for being here, even after our long pause. We, Jeroen, Colinda and our 3 children Luca, Fleur, and Jules, have exchanged the Netherlands for the French countryside in August 2022. At that time, we hadn't yet purchased a house, only sold our house in the Netherlands. In December , we finally bought our dream home, an old farmhouse in the Lot et Garonne, which could use a little love. And now, we are busy renovating, beautifying the garden, and simply living our daily lives here in the beautiful French countryside. Because this is a very special period in our lives, and we want to show our children (later on) that they should always pursue their dreams, no matter how scary they may seem. We want to document this for the future, as memories tend to fade quickly. And hopefully, our story will inspire you to pursue your dreams as well because after all, you only live once.
