The REALITY of keeping a YouTube channel going: An honest view

In this thought provoking 1 take video, I try to summarise the challenges of mixing YouTube dreams with the realities of Working in a full time job. I explore the hardships of finding time to come up with ideas, finding time to script, prepare, Film and edit videos all while holding down a demanding full time job. To try to make progress in life in the UK the working classes like me Have to put in all the hours available on your chosen 2nd or third stream of income with almost no guarantees whatsoever. But why do we do it ? We do it to try to reclaim some agency of our own lives instead of being at the mercy of others who control our situations. We want to try to get to that mystical place of being time rich by creating financial freedom. Most of us in this position would be happy to Get just a bit more guaranteed income every month and we don’t mind doing to work to get there. There are no shortcuts for most of us, we need to simply put the hours in and do the work in the hope that all our efforts will one day start to pay off. But we do it without any guarantees that it will work. 2,3,4 years of work may or may not lead to some degree of success, or maybe we will have put all the work In for no reward at all. But we never really find out until some time down the line. Then and only then with our new found wisdom can we determine If it was all worth it or not. My conclusion is to keep pushing on with the belief that it will all work out somehow because to be honest That’s all I know how to do it, do the work and the effort will be rewarded. At least that’s what I hope will happen. Im not chasing big money just some payback for a lot of effort and the main reward of time, time to do the things in life that I enjoy on terms of my choice, in a timeframe that works for me, not a stranger who grants me permission to do so when they allow.
