Jewellery Designer　三木 稔/MINORU MIKI 粒金細工（グラニュレーションとは） 紀元前3000年頃のエジプトで発祥したといわれ、紀元前7世紀の古代エルトリアで全盛を迎えたとされる伝統ある彫金技法です。小さな粒状の金属を加工した装飾品は1000年頃まで地中海美術に盛んに用いられてきました。当時の繊細な技法は再現の難しい彫金技法といわれてきましたが、近年その技術は解明されてきています。 今回はアートクレイシルバーを使用することで、バーナーワークで作った粒銀を当時とも違う革新的な方法で接合し、粒金細工のジュエリーを作りだすことが可能になります。 過去から現在まで人を魅了し続ける粒金細工の美しさが皆さんのジュエリー制作の礎になればと願っています。 hat is Granulation? Granulation is a traditional metalsmith technique that is said to have originated in Egypt around 3000 B.C. and reached its zenith in ancient Etruria in the 7th century B.C. The technique of working small grains of metal into ornaments was widely used in Mediterranean art until around 1000 B.C. The delicate techniques of the time were said to be difficult to reproduce, but in recent years, the techniques have been elucidated. This time, by using Art Clay Silver, it is possible to join silver grains made by a gas torch in an innovative way that is different from that of the time, and create granulation jewelry.
