Turn on subtitles [CC] Hi! Welcome back Today I’m sharing a no-knead French-style baguette recipe that’s simple, comforting, and surprisingly easy to make at home. No kneading, no special equipment, and no complicated techniques — just everyday ingredients and a method that truly works. This recipe is inspired by a technique I learned in a French bakery. It keeps things minimal and practical, while still giving you baguettes with a crisp crust, a soft interior, and deep flavor. Why you’ll love these baguettes: • No kneading • Just 4 simple ingredients • No baguette tray or special tools needed • Crisp, crackly crust with a soft inside • Perfect for beginners and everyday baking This method lets the dough do most of the work on its own, creating structure and flavor without extra effort. 🔥 Ingredients (4 ingredients) • 1 cup water (220 ml), room temperature • 2 g instant yeast • 2 ½ cups bread flour (320 g) • 1 tsp salt (6 g) Optional: • 1 tsp sugar (4 g), to help the yeast get started 🔥 Instructions • Add the water to a bowl and mix with the instant yeast (and sugar, if using). • Add the bread flour, then sprinkle the salt on top of the flour. • Mix until everything is just combined. The dough will look rough and shaggy. • Cover and let rest for 30 minutes. • With a lightly wet hand, stretch and fold the dough on all sides. • Scoop the dough and gently slap it back into the bowl about 15 times. • Cover and let rise for about 2 hours, or until doubled in size. • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and divide into 4 pieces. • Pre-shape into balls and let rest for 10 minutes. • Shape into baguettes, pinch the seam closed, and roll gently to lengthen. • Place on a lined baking tray, cover, and let rest for 30 minutes. • Score with a sharp blade or knife. • Cover with another baking tray and bake at 230°C / 450°F for 20 minutes. • Uncover and bake for 10 more minutes at 200°C / 390°F until golden. Result Thin, crispy crust with a soft, airy interior and rich flavor — classic French-style baguettes made simply at home. Have you tried making baguettes before?
