Qatar Airways Trip Report flying from Cairo to Doha onboard one of the new Qatar Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners on a lovely day. A very comfortable flight from Cairo to Doha onboard the Qatar Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The flight was almost fully booked, but still we were lucky enough to get an empty middle seat, which increased even more the comfort of this almost-3-hour flight across the desert. We took off from Cairo heading northeast and quickly made a right turn to start our route to Doha. After overflying the eastern part of Cairo we set course to Suez. The views of the Suez Canal were amazing: not a single cloud or haze allowed us to see one of the most important infrastructures of the World. From the Gulf of Suez, que continued across the Sinai Peninsula heading towards the Gulf of Aqaba. Once again, the weather was perfect here. We were able to see the Gulf in perfect conditions. It was really amazing. We briefly flew over Jordan and then continued over Saudi Arabia. We crossed the country, from northwest to southeast, flying in almost direct course to Manama, in Bahrain. After a quick descent over the Persian Gulf, we landed ahead of the scheduled time of arrival at Doha-Hamad International airport after a beautiful sunset approach over the sea with Doha at the back. About the onboard service, we all know well about Qatar Airways' very high standards. On this flight, it was just perfect. The flavours were just incredible in every single bite of the lunch. I took chicken with potatoes and vegetables as main and I felt I couldn't have chosen anything better. I definitely had to repeat if available. Qatar's Quisine is clearly above the majority of restaurants you might find in your city. Just amazing. Perfect. Now it's your turn! Have you ever flown with Qatar Airways? Which route?
