Use one strand of DMC-type floss throughout if that's what you've got. 1. (optional) couch an outline - I'm using hand-dyed silk noil yarn couched with fine silk 2. fly stitch closed with a straight stitch to make triangular body/dress 3. scroll stitch for legs and feet 4. fly stitch for joined hands; scroll stitch for single arm/hand 5. pair of fly stitches for head, one for lower half and another inverted for upper half 6.
