GOTO Track 01 // Rewind & Repeat DIGITAL TAKEOVER is a new entry in my ongoing PSX series, where I imagine lost late-90s and Y2K-era soundtracks for fictional PlayStation worlds. This project is deeply inspired by atmospheric drum and bass, ambient jungle, and liquid textures that felt futuristic and emotional at the same time. I wanted it to feel like a forgotten PS1 disc you found scratched in a jewel case, humming with low-bit ambience, dusty breaks, and digital melancholy. Every track is built as if it belonged to a 1999 mecha title that never officially existed, but somehow shaped your childhood. In this imagined game, you pilot the “DIGITAL TAKEOVER,” a classified third-person combat unit deployed after a rogue AI seizes control of planetary climate engines. The mission begins across vast low-poly salt flats under violet skies, where distant monoliths flicker with corrupted code. Your mech glides over shimmering water textures and jagged mountain meshes, locking onto signal distortions buried beneath the terrain. The HUD pulses in minimal green vectors as enemy drones spawn from invisible draw distance, their movements stiff yet strangely lifelike. As the campaign unfolds, you descend into crystalline caverns, frozen coastlines with looping wave animations, and gravity-defying sky bridges suspended over endless bitmap oceans. Corrupted maintenance bots ambush you in tight corridors while classified defense systems activate without warning. Each level feels isolated and lonely, like early 3D spaces that were both empty and mysterious. Guest starring: ARC-SHIFT_09, a rival prototype unit whose encrypted transmissions blur the line between ally and threat. The production of the album is mainly centered around textures, one-shots and breaks coming from 90s sample CDs, together with selected samples, chops, melodic flips and atmospheric manipulations of PSX soundtracks. Best enjoyed during late-night coding sessions in a dark room lit only by your monitor, but also just while commuting, studying, or zoning out with headphones on. Thank you for continuing to support this evolving universe. Every release pushes me to refine my sound design, my storytelling, and my emotional honesty. I am working hard to improve with every project, and your presence truly means everything to me.
