GOTO Track 01 // Rewind & Repeat ZERO PROTOCOL is the newest entry in my PSX series, a continuation of my love letter to 90s/Y2K atmospheric drum and bass, ambient jungle, and those emotionally distant yet futuristic fictional PS1 soundtracks. With this project, I wanted to dive deeper into that era where low bitrate pads, crunchy breaks, and vast reverb tails felt like entire worlds hidden inside a silver disc. This album feels like discovering a lost mecha game in a bargain bin in 2001 and realizing it holds something strangely profound. In this imagined PS1 title, you pilot the experimental combat unit known as the ZERO PROTOCOL, a classified humanoid frame activated only when all other defense systems fail. The game is a third-person, low-poly 3D action experience where fog hides distant geometry and the skyboxes are painted in surreal gradients. Your mission is to investigate signal distortions emerging from massive natural anomalies: floating basalt pillars above an endless ocean, frozen deserts fractured by luminous fault lines, and abandoned orbital elevators swallowed by vines. As the ZERO PROTOCOL, you traverse these unstable zones while corrupted maintenance bots and rogue defense drones mistake you for an intruder. Each operation feels secret, almost forbidden—black-ops transmissions flicker in compressed voice clips while radar pings echo in the distance. The environments feel empty but alive, with shimmering water textures, angular mountains, and strange gravitational distortions bending the horizon. Every track represents a mission phase, from atmospheric insertion to system override, until the final directive forces you to question whether the ZERO PROTOCOL was meant to protect the world—or reset it. The production of the album is mainly centered around textures, one-shots and breaks coming from 90s sample CDs, together with selected samples, chops, melodic flips and atmospheric manipulations of PSX soundtracks. Best enjoyed during late-night coding sessions under dim monitor light, but also just while walking home with your headphones on, letting the city lights blur into low-poly constellations. Thank you for continuing to support this project and for believing in these strange, nostalgic worlds I build through sound. I am constantly learning, refining my craft, and pushing myself to make each release more immersive than the last. Your time and attention truly mean everything to me.
