I waited 15 mins and switched directions twice until I finally decided to try and got it. This wind was a steady 15 at altitude and the thermals were pretty choppy so not much sustained flight. It was hard to gain altitude at the beginning with all the rolling waves across the tree lines. The engine was acting a little sick on take off again, the last flight the spark plug was fouled pretty bad but got it cleaned up or this flight. I actually had a much cleaner plug that I couldn't get it started with when setting up. Im going to have to bring a butane torch and cook it next time which is the old trick I used for motorcycles. I think they get wet internally in the ceramic during cleaning which causes it to not spark good until it dries out. I have my old homemade power harness sitting in the garage waiting to be test flown. The temps are right but I think Ill have to wait till a crop field gets cleared to test it so I have plenty of room and direction to take off with the sun high and these fall winds.
