What the Buddha Really Meant by Dāna, Sīla & Bhāvanā Join guest teacher Nana Gyesie ( Na Ńa Je śee ) this Sat. 4:30 PM. In this Dharma talk, Nana explores how the Buddha’s foundational teachings—Dāna (generosity), Sīla (ethical conduct), and Bhāvanā (mental cultivation)—become transformative when applied to the pressures, distractions, and ethical dilemmas of contemporary life. Drawing from the Pāli Canon, neuroscience, and lived experience, we examine how these three practices form a living path to awakening today, and how their absence reinforces the very illusions that keep us stuck. This is an invitation to rediscover the Buddha’s original architecture of liberation in a modern world that needs it more than ever. 00:00 Introduction and Meditation on the four Foundations 32:17 Intersection of Dana, Sila and Bhāvanā 1:12:10 Q&A Nana Gyesie, PhD, (pronounced Na Ńa JE śee ) is transformation coach at INNER Mileage, an ICF certified leadership, life, and spiritual coach, and an RYT 200 certified Kemetic Yoga teacher under Master Yirser Ra Hotep.
