Hey friends, today I made Challah which is a Jewish bread, I decided to make it for the Passover but I didn’t do it in time. Any who I hope you enjoy the recipe is down below⬇️⬇️ Jesus loves you! (1 John 1:9 ESV) Recipe~ Yeast 0.25 oz Warm Water 3.5 fl oz Honey 1.5 fl oz Butter 2 oz {melted} Eggs 2 Bread Flour 420g (120g added first the rest after) Salt 0.3 oz Egg wash Everything bagel seasoning (optional) {regularly used is poppy seeds or sesame seeds} 1. Dissolve the yeast in the warm water in a small bowl. Stir in the honey. 2. Place the remaining water, butter, eggs, 8 ounces (120g) flour and the salt in a mixer bowl. Add the yeast mixture. Stir until smooth. 3. Add the remaining flour. Using a dough hook, knead the dough on medium speed until smooth and elastic, approximately 5 minutes. 4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover and ferment until doubled, approximately 1 to 1½ hours. 5.Punch down the dough and divide into six equal portions. Roll each portion into a long strip, about 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) in diameter and 12 inches (30 centimeters) long. Lay three strips side by side and braid. Pinch the ends together, then roll the ends of the braid together to seal. Tuck the ends under the loaf. Place the loaf on a paper-lined(I didn’t line it i just lightl greased it.) sheet pan. Braid the three remaining pieces of dough in the same manner. 6. Brush the loaf with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds. Proof until doubled, approximately 45 minutes. 7.
