A short walk to High Sweden Bridge

In this short video we take a walk out of Ambleside to a Lake District landmark: High Sweden Bridge. High Sweden Bridge is a beautiful late 17th-century packhorse bridge that was once a main route to Patterdale before the Kirkstone Pass road was built. The walk up to the bridge is a relatively easy 1.5 miles from the centre of Ambleside. You'll need the right footwear as the path is a rough stone track, but the views on the way up are stunning. The beginning of the walk is in Sweden Bridge Lane off Smithy Brow.
