South Western Railway Trains at Putney on January 29th 2022

1st visit to Putney on the Windsor Lines featuring South Western Railway services including SWML Diverts passing through as well. Putney station opent on July 27th 1846 when the original London & South Western Railway (LSWR) opened it's line from the former Nine Elms station to Richmond. The station's 4 track layout dates from a rebuilt between 1885-1886 when the line was quadrupled as far as Barnes. Not far from the Putney is East Putney underground station which located around 500 metres away which is served by London Underground's District Line services to Wimbledon Most services originating from either Edgware Road via High Street Kensington or Upminster, Barking and Tower Hill via Victoria and Embankment. In fact London Bound services passes under the District Line tracks which crosses over the Windsor Lines shortly after leaving the station. In fact SWR trains can use the District Line between East Putney and just after Wimbledon Park although rarely used nowadays for Empty Stock movements to Earlsfield Depot. South Western Railway services either Hounslow Loop via Brentford, Kingston Loop via Richmond, Windsor & Eton Riverside or Weybridge services call here although the only services run non stop through is Reading Services which run non stop between Clapham Junction and Richmond although the only exception is either diverts as well as all day Sundays. On the day of filming due to Engineering Works between New Malden and Weybridge meant all services on SWML except loop services via Kingston were diverted between Clapham Junction and Weybridge via the Windsor Lines.
