And our main tips for our dear viewers: 1. While being in Tulum, don't miss a chance to explore wildlife of Yucatan peninsula in Sian Kaan Biosphere reserve. The two most common Sian Ka’an access points from Tulum are: Muyil and Punta Allen. Both of them provide for two completely different experiences and contain two different ecosystems. If you want to see the oceanic side of Sian Ka’an, including saltwater lagoons, then the Punta Allen route to the Sian Ka’an may be for you. Also, it includes the possibility to go snorkelling in the Great Mayan Reef. You will have a chance to see more marine life, such as dolphins and turtles as well as other animals like crocodiles, and manatees! If you want to see the Mayan ruins, freshwater lagoon, mangrove forests, wetlands, Mayan-carved canals, and float down Mayan canals, you can do this from the Muyil access point to Sian Ka’an. We chose a tour company Mexicokantours https://www.mexicokantours.com/ to explore the oceanic side of Sian Ka'an, and we were able to see a lot with a knowledgeable guide. 2. Beaches of Tulum and beach clubs. It is known that Tulum has great beaches, and it turned to be true experience for us. When visiting a beach, don't forget to stop at a beach club for margaritas :) 3. Cenotes. Yucatan peninsula is famous for its cenotes. We found it as good idea to go there while it was raining in Tulum and we couldn't stay in the beach- refreshing dip in cenote was nice.
