If you enjoy this video and would like to support our channel you can now "buy us a coffee" here: https://buymeacoffee.com/sussexsoap Today we are creating a salt soap bar that is aimed towards the male market! There is still a tendency for people to veer towards smoky, woodsy, outdoorsy scents when selecting soap for a male - even though there are plenty of men who love our floral scents! These soaps featured in this video will be available to purchase as a limited edition through our website! (Link below). We have chosen to create a salt bar which we are scenting with cedarwood, fir needle and bergamot essential oils. We are using glacial marine clay to colour the soap a gorgeous deep green colour. This recipe is an intermediate level project as salt bar soaps can throw up some challenges that you don't get with regular soaps. Do view our beginners soap making videos first if you are new to soap making! Coconut oil forms the majority of the base of these natural salt soap bars and cannot be substituted. You will also need a small amount of castor oil or another soapmaking oil of your choice - if using an alternate oil do run your new recipe through a soap calculator as the required lye amount may change slightly. The full recipe and method for this soap are given in the video and you can also view the recipe below. In this video we talk you through the ingredients used and why we though they would be suitable for a soap bar aimed at the male market! We then show you how to create the salt bars. Here is the recipe that we created and feature in this video: Sodium Hydroxide 128g Water 256g Coconut oil 810g Castor Oil 90g Fine Sea Salt (without added anti-caking ingredients) 450g Glacial Marine Clay 25g Bergamot (FCF) Essential Oil 13g Cedarwood Atlas Essential Oil 13g Fir Needle Essential Oil 13g If you enjoy our videos and soap making tutorials please do give us a like and subscribe :-) You can also follow us and find our soaps here: www.sussexsoap.co.uk www.facebook.com/sussexhandmadesoap www.instagram.com/sussex_handmade_soap #soapmaking #soapmakingathome #soapmakingbusiness #naturalsoapmaking
