The pain started suddenly and I couldn’t think of any real trigger that would explain that pain on the inside of my leg. Like most people I probably would have considered shin splints, achilles tendonitis, problems with my posterior tibialis, or even a stress fracture. But that didn’t make sense in my case so I followed an Anatomy in Motion process in which I followed the problem further up the chain and ended up working on my shoulder where I have a long injury history of dislocations and even a labral tear. Pain gone. Even though I skip a few steps of the process to make it more digestable, I hope that this video gives you a better idea of how we approach a problem through an Anatomy in Motion lens. Thanks to Gary Ward’s Flow Motion Model we can work on understanding, not just “fixing” the body, in order to offer better solutions.
