Two mindfulness/self-awareness exercises paired with physical climbing movement to help you build a psychological tool kit for mental effort in climbing and better understand how you tick as an individual. I hope if you try these exercises they help you in some way to : Climb more e f f i c i e n t l y Understand your own personal psych states when trying hard Evaluate how you respond to fatigue and give you control over what rules your performance Psych Pulls : Alternate between 'power pulls' and a 'passive pulls' to understand the two different states of psychological effort One-more-move : Use this exercise to see how you psychologically respond to physical discomfort. Simplify psychological noise during endurance. Just. Make. One. More. Move. Evaluate whether you believe you fell off because you gave up but you have more to give or if you felt closer to your full physical output and performance potential. Confidence can be gained from understanding that when physically fatigued you can still get to the next hold. Understand whether your psychological idea of how much you can climb aligns with what you are actually physically capable of.
