How Do Blind People Plug Things Into a Wall Outlet?

I am sharing a solution to a common household problem — Safely accessing hard-to-reach electrical wall outlets to plug in. How many of you have wanted to plug items into a wall outlet and it just took too long? After minutes of fumbling, you could feel the blood rushing to your head, and when you stood up you became dizzy? I just don't understand why they put those outlets so darn low and out of reach. When I first became blind and was plugging in devices, I would have a lot of difficulty trying to find the wall outlet slots to insert the electrical blades into the receptacle. I would then start feeling around with my fingers to find the slots, or get frustrated and start jabbing the plug at the outlet trying one way then flipping the plug around to try the other, which would sometimes bend or spread out the electrical blades. Eventually, no one was feeling too comfortable with my practices around electrical wall outlets when it came to plugging in electronics, so we invested in the gadget I am showing here. It’s amazing how bad one can get so disoriented trying to perform common tasks done without eyesight, which were performed without issue prior to blindness. Sometimes, I would be far off from the receptacle where I had traveled down the wall in search of it (marring the wall as I went). We installed them on outlets which were in hard-to-reach places, making the task much easier to plug items into and plug them out.
