One of the trickiest transitions in the Primary Series is jumping back from Lotus Pose. It’s hard, but not impossible… especially when you have our strategy in your back pocket. In this tutorial, we’re showing you how to do the JUMP BACK FROM PADMASANA \ LOTUS POSE, the transition after Garbha Pindasana and Kukkutasana in Ashtanga’s Primary Series. We show you a great modification with step-by-step instruction that allows you to strengthen and activate different parts of your body as you work toward accessing the full jump back. You’ll learn how to position your feet and legs to keep Lotus Pose tight (which is easier for the transition), how to find strength in your arms when swinging back, and the key movement that makes this jump back possible.
