ENTERING GOD'S REST - Hebrews 4:1–16

We all understand the importance of physical rest. Without it, our bodies weaken, and our health suffers. But God calls us to something even deeper: spiritual rest. Sadly, not all will enter this rest, because of unbelief and disobedience. Hebrews 4 urges us to respond in faith and enter God’s rest through Christ, our great High Priest. KEY POINTS: The invitation to God’s rest is still open today: 1. Heed God’s Warning (vv.1–10) Do not be like the Israelites in the wilderness who failed to enter God’s rest because of unbelief and rebellion. 2. Hold to His Word (vv.11–13) God’s living and active Word penetrates our hearts and guides us toward faith and obedience. 3. Hold Fast to Christ (vv.14–16) Jesus sympathizes with our weaknesses and gives mercy and grace to those who approach Him in faith. GROWTH GROUP DISCUSSION 1. What are some ways we might be hardening our hearts to God today, and how can we respond in faith to enter His rest? 2. How has God’s Word revealed areas of unbelief, sin, or weakness in your life, and what steps can you take to submit to it more fully? 3. In what practical ways can we rely on Jesus’ sympathy, grace, and mercy in our daily struggles, and how does this help us experience God’s rest?
