Llangollen Railway - 'Along Western Lines' Gala - 31/08/14

The first of around 8 or 9 videos from my two week trip to North Wales. Having set up camp in Llanuwchllyn, our first port of call the next morning was the Llangollen Railway, for their 'Along Western Lines' gala, which ran over the last weekend of August. A selection of five locomotives featured during the gala, working a variety of passenger workings over the weekend. These locos included: Home Fleet: BR Class 26 Bo-Bo no.D5310 BR Standard Class 4MT 2-6-4T no.80072 GWR 2884 Class 2-8-0 no.3802 LMS 'Black 5' 4-6-0 no.45337 (Recently returned to service following a boiler overhaul) Visiting: BR(M) Ivatt 2MT Class 2-6-0 no.46521 (Visiting from the Great Central Railway, and an appropriate guest, being a former Cambrian based loco) 7822 'Foxcote Manor' and Large Prairie 5199 were originally planned to run during the gala. Unfortunately though both locos weren't ready in time. Still a nice line up as it turned out though. Shots included: D5310: Berwyn Station and Glyndyfrdwy Station. 3802: Glyndyfrdwy Station x2 (Solo and with 45337), and Berwyn on the goods. 80072: Approaching Berwyn, Berwyn Station both ways, and Glyndyfrdwy on the goods. 45337: Berwyn x2, and Glyndyfrdwy on the goods (Solo and with 3802) 46521: Berwyn Station (A rather rushed shot as she was already sat in the station when we arrived, having filmed 3802 running late at Glyndyfrdwy, 46521, however, was on time), Glydyfrdwy x2, and Berwyn with 45337. Filmed on a Panasonic HS900 with a Pro Sound L92AA microphone. Enjoy.
