The Alzheimer's Association U.S. Study to Protect Brain Health Through Lifestyle Intervention to Reduce Risk (U.S. POINTER) is the first large-scale, randomized controlled clinical trial to demonstrate that an accessible and sustainable healthy lifestyle intervention can protect cognitive function in diverse populations in communities across the United States. The Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Risk Reduction released updated science summaries, which translate the latest scientific evidence into practical insights, guiding public health professionals in designing focused interventions to reduce dementia risk. Public health professionals and others seeking to understand the public health implications of the U.S. POINTER study and hear expert insights on population-level approaches and public health implications for implementing dementia risk reduction interventions can benefit from this webinar. The Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Risk Reduction is made possible by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as part of a financial assistance award totaling $3,707,435, with 100% funded by CDC/HHS.
