Pilates class designed to release tension in our muscles and mobilise our joints Difficulty: Easier Length: 25 minutes The class begins in standing then continues briefly in four-point keeling, then into sitting and onto our backs. The class is suitable for most levels but as always please remember to work to a level that is suitable for you, and you feel comfortable to do. This class includes: Standing chest opening Arm sweeps Fascial lines stretch Salute stretch Roll downs Cat stretch and child pose stretch Sitting shoulder warm-up Hip opener Single arm shoulder row Spine stretch forward Glute stretch One leg circle Dynamic hamstring stretch Sitting neck stretch and upper body reaches The class begins in standing with a chest opening movement, then we bring our arms and legs together with a squat and arm sweeps. We then stretch through our body with fascial lines stretch and into our hips with a salute stretch. We then mobilise our spines with some roll downs and then continue into four-point kneeling starting with a cat stretch then into a child pose stretch. We then move into sitting and start with some shoulder warm up movements then move onto a hip opener stretch. We then add some upper body rotation with a single arm shoulder row. In sitting we then mobilise our spines again with a spine stretch forward before moving down onto our backs on the mat. Onto our backs we start by stretching our glutes with some added rotation movement. Then mobilise around our hips with a one leg circle before moving into a dynamic hamstring stretch. We then finish the class back into sitting with a neck and upper body reach stretches. _____________ Interested in more Pilates?
