Tomato Soup Cake ~ 1930's sorcery that I just don't understand

I have no words for this other than I ate the whole thing in about 2 days. I was so sure this would be an absolute FAIL and that I would hate every little crumb. Boy... was I WRONG! This turned out to be one of the best experiments I have ever done!! This was so moist and delicious that I couldn't stop eating it and neither could my kids. It is no wonder why it was so popular for so many years. Tomatoes do have binding properties like eggs or applesauce, but to mix it with confectionary stuffs.... well that's a new ball game to me.
