Alright yogis - This has been one of the most requested videos in my Youtube comments, so here's a quick tutorial on lifting up from Padmasana and jumping back to Chaturanga Dandasana. There are common ways to modify, such as putting the knees down and lifting onto the elbows before releasing the legs but technically the correct way to practice this is to lift up and rotate as you unravel without touching the floor - whichever way you do it, you'd be wise only to start releasing the legs if the knees are not touching the ground. This movement is easy to overlook and fall into the habit of modifying consistently, but it's really worth taking the time to work on at every opportunity you get, so here are a few tips regarding hand placement, alignment, energetics and movement sequencing that might escalate your rate of progress & further enrich your experience of practicing this key vinyasa in Ashtanga Yoga.
