Moving into a steady headstand can be a challenge, but when you also bind the arms in various positions, it adds another layer of focus to the pose. Do you know how to transition out of the Baddha Hasta Sirsasana variations without compromising your neck? In this tutorial, we’re showing you how to do BADDHA HASTA SIRSASANA A, B, C, & D / BOUND HANDS HEADSTAND POSE A, B, C, & D, the last four headstands practiced at the end of Ashtanga's Intermediate Series. You’ll learn the traditional vinyasa cues and Sanskrit count as we guide you through a couple options into the A variation, show the transitions into B, C, and D, and then end with the vinyasa to come out of the pose. This pose requires us to remain as upright and stable as possible, especially as we “fall” out to prepare for the next variation, so we share tips to keep your neck and body safe throughout.
