This video documents the history of creativity in game design, The evolution of genres and the future of innovation in video games. Creativity is an often misunderstood phenomena, but it is no where near as mysterious as people think. It is about repurposing the past, understanding its context, and fusing disparate ideas together. This video traces the origin of some of the most important innovations in video game design, the most revolutionary games in our medium, and how we can use the storied history of creativity in our medium as a guide to where we might go in the future.
