The vast majority of analytical thinkers suffer from this (ENTPs, INTPs, INTJs, INFJs, etc., and myself included). The problem is: We imagine the solution is found in more thoughts—i.e., identifying and analyzing the logical cause of our negative thoughts. But, the core solution to unhelpful thinking is not *more thinking*. Instead, you must use a completely different approach. If your brain spirals before a meeting or big conversation, your instinct is probably to analyze harder. Figure out the root cause. Find the “right” thought that will make the bad thoughts disappear.
