This video is a trimmed up kinesiological analysis of the barbell bench press. This video covers set up and the muscle/joint actions performed during the barbell bench press. Thank you :) Just for those of you who are new to the channel: My name is Tyler, I am in my last semester of my master's degree and will be graduating in December with an M.S. in Exercise Science (USF go bulls!). I grew up playing baseball and golf. I was introduced to resistance training in my 8th-grade year... needless to say I fell in love with it! I have worked as a strength and conditioning field intern at both the University of Kentucky and the University of South Florida. I also dabbled in the research area under Dr. Bill Campbell at USF in the Physique lab. After all these experiences, I realized I wanted to do a little bit of everything! So I started The Science of Exercise LLC. My goal is to help others weed through all the misinformation in the health and fitness world! I personally enjoy the movement and performance side of fitness (kinesiology, biomechanics, anatomy & physiology). Fun fact I really enjoy playing first-person shooters when I have free time! I recently switched over to PC and am enjoying the new FPS gain!
