🌶 Chicken Curry (Desi Style) Ingredients: 1 onion (chopped finely or in a chopper) 4 green chilies 4 garlic cloves 1 small piece of ginger 2 tomatoes (cut into halves) 4–5 dry red chilies 1 baby chicken (cleaned and cut into pieces) Salt to taste 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander powder Few dry curry leaves 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder 1 small bowl of water 1 tbsp butter Fresh cream (for garnish) Oil as needed --- 🥘 Method: 1. Fry Onions & Chicken: Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown. Add chicken pieces, mix well, and cover. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. 2. Add Salt & Tomatoes: Add salt to taste and mix. Pour in a small bowl of water. Add the halved tomatoes to the pan, cover, and cook for 8–10 minutes on medium heat. 3. Prepare Masala Tadka: In a separate pan, add some oil. Add ginger, garlic, green chilies, and dry red chilies. Fry for 2–3 minutes on high heat. Add cumin seeds, coriander powder, curry leaves, turmeric, and Kashmiri red chili powder. Mix well and cook for a minute, then let it cool slightly. Once cool, roughly chop or crush this fried masala. 4. Final Assembly: In the same pan, add 1 tbsp butter. Add the chopped masala mixture and cook for 1–2 minutes. Remove tomato skins from the curry and mash them into the chicken. Add the buttered masala mixture (tadka) to the chicken curry. Boil on high heat for a few minutes to combine flavors. 5. Finish: Add a spoon of fresh cream on top before serving. --- 🍽 Serve With: Steamed rice Roti or naan Onion salad & lemon wedge @foodlover-f9f
