Welcome to Rubi's Cookery Two you tube channel. Today I have prepared Raw Papaya Masala Curry for all of you. This Recipe is purely Bengali Traditional Recipe. It is very delicious with steamed Rice & Rooti dish. INGREDIENTS & PREPARATION: Total COOKING TIME (40 Minutes): (prep time: 20 Mins) INGREDIENTS: A. One Raw & Green Papaya for 1 Kg.: Peel & remove seeds. Cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Wash Well. Fry into 3 tbsp Refined oil for 8-10 minutes in medium flame. Shift when all cubes turn to light brown colour, soft & tender B. Two medium sized Onion : Chop Roughly. C. 5-6 Garlic Cloves D. 1 inch Ginger : chop roughly. E. 1 Medium Sized Tomato : Chop Roughly. F. Phoron Masala : 4 Cloves, 1 inch Cinnamon Stick & 4 Green Cardamom G. 25 gm Cashew Nuts. H. Masala Powder : 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder, 1 tsp Cumin powder, 1 tsp Coriander powder, 1 tsp Kasmiri red chilli powder & 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder. I. Refined Oil as required, J. Salt to taste. K. 1 tbsp Sugar (optional), L. 1 tbsp Ghee Preparation A) Heat 2 tbsp Refined Oil in a Kadhai. Add Phoron Masala, chopped onion, Ginger, Garlic cloves, Tomato & Cashew nuts. Fry for 10 minutes in low to medium flame and till the onion pieces softens. Cool it. Make a smooth paste. ONION - Tomato Paste. Keep aside. B) Heat 1 tbsp Refined Oil & 1 tbsp Butter. Add 2 Bay Leaves & 2 Green Chillies. Saute untill a beautiful aroma comes out. C) Add 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder, 1 tsp Cumin powder, 1 tsp Coriander powder, 1 tsp Kasmiri red chilli powder & 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder. Saute in low flame. D) Add Onion-Tomato Paste & Salt to taste. Combine all well. Cover for 6-7 minutes in low to medium flame. E) Add 1/2 cup water. Mix well. When it comes to boiling oint, add fried papaya cubes. Mix well. Add 1 tbsp Sugar (optinal). Cover for 5 minutes in medium to low flame. F) Add 1 tsp roasted Kasuri Methi. Put off the flame. Keep in standing point for 10 minutes. G) Shift to serving Bowl. H) It is delicious with Steamed Rice or Rooti. Please Like, Comment & Subscribe.
