Digital photography has a great potential that schools should take advantage of by incorporating them into a class. My name is Meredith Gillespie, a 17-year-old Senior from East Grand Rapids High School. I was born and raised in Grand Rapids with my older brothers Stephen and Colin, and my parents Casey and Nancy. Outside of school, I participate in We the People, lead a middle school youth group called Wyldlife, and participate in Young Life. I work at Papers Plus in Gaslight Village, and enjoy yoga and hammocking. Most of all, though, I am an independent portrait and event photographer. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
