Take a seat at the front for a complete journey along the Dessau-Wörlitz Railway in eastern Germany. This short but historic line travels through the beautiful Anhalt countryside, connecting the city of Dessau with the town of Wörlitz, which is known for its UNESCO-listed Garden Kingdom. 🛤️ About the Dessau–Wörlitz Railway: The Dessau-Wörlitz line is a scenic rural railway in Saxony-Anhalt that opened in 1894. For over a century, it has linked locals and tourists between the industrial center of Dessau and the cultural treasures of Wörlitz. Even though it is not very long, the line passes through amazing landscapes and serves as an important connection to one of Germany’s most celebrated heritage sites. 🚆 About the Train – The Class 670 Railbus: This video was filmed on a rare Deutsche Bahn Class 670 double-decker railbus ("Baureihe 670"), a notable project in German railway engineering. Built in the mid-1990s by DWA in Bautzen, the 670 was designed as a lightweight and cost-effective option for lightly used branch lines. Its double-deck design offered panoramic views from the upper deck and a sleek, modern look. Unfortunately, this class faced reliability issues and did not go into mass production, resulting in only a few units left. Today, one Class 670 is rarely used by the Dessau-Wörlitz railway on a limited number of operating days each season. While others remain functional, this is the only Class 670 running in regular passenger service. Seeing one in service today is an absolute rarity, and the opportunity to experience the line from the front window on the upper deck of a Class 670 makes this journey especially unique. 🎥 A Note About This Video: This channel is an amateur project created with very limited resources. While filming, you may notice small reflections on the glass or minor movements from the camera setup, as well as a brief skip in the footage when the camera overheated, but we hope the unique combination of this historic railway and the rare Class 670 shines through. Your support, patience, and encouragement mean the world to us and make it possible to continue documenting these extraordinary railway experiences, and hopefully, we will soon have enough resources for a proper camera heatsink and some lens shrouds! :) Join this channel to get access to special perks! ▶️ / @djhtransport Click here to Subscribe! http://bit.ly/SubwayVideo "Like" the Facebook page! ▶️ / djhtrains Check us out on TikTok! ▶️ / djhammerstrains Join the Transportation Facebook group! ▶️ http://bit.ly/TransportFB Follow DJH Trains on Twitter! ▶️ / djhtrains Taken in September 2025.
