That's right, cake time. You've had to try one of our cakes by now, so you already know what to expect. Delicious, moist, tasty, and a treat to beat. Vanilla Layer Cake 2 sticks of salted butter 2 cups sugar 4 eggs 3 cups cake flour, sifted 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 cup whole milk ½ Almond extract 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. In mixer, cream butter, until smooth. Add sugar and continue mixing until creamy. Add eggs one at a time. Alternate adding flour and milk. Add almond extract and vanilla extract. Pour batter in cake pans, that have been sprayed with a nonstick flour baking spray. Bake for 25 to 32 minutes. Place a toothpick in the center of the cake, to check for doneness. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is done. Chocolate frosting 3 cups powdered sugar 1/2 cup Hershey’s cocoa 8 ounces Cream cheese 1 stick softened butter 1/4 cup evaporated milk 1.5 teaspoons vanilla paste or vanilla extract ½ teaspoon butter extract Combine powdered sugar and cocoa. Whip cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add softened butter. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa. Add milk, gradually. Add vanilla paste or vanilla extract and butter extract. Mix until fully blended.
