Chaotic Morning at Carlisle plus Rail Adventure 43s, Intermodal over 4 hours late 19 May 25 I went to the station to see the Rail Adventure train head to Eastriggs to collect the remaining Class 769 unit and take it to Long Marston. When I got to the station there were trains being held and delayed. A TPE driver told me there had been a broken down train 'in the north', ie in Scotland. Drivers were awaited to come by delayed trains. We see various of the regular freights and Engineer's trains passing through with 4M27, the southbound 'Russell' contract intermodal pass through, with an extra 68, 296 minutes late! It's original class 68 had failed descending Beattock bank! Then the RailAdventure train arrived. That scruffy pair of 43s contrasting with the smartly liveried grey pair. Plus barrier cars Harold and Phillip with a very long interchangable coupling between them. The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
