The Gajar Ka halwa , if made right actually is quite light. This is how my mother makes it, it's not commercial but has the warmth of love, comfort and since both of us are diabetic we make it like this and enjoy it in small portions. Remember, even though we have used artificial sweeteners, we must understand portion control . The recipe is very simple. I have not added khoya to this version, feel free to add a little khota just before taking it off the flame say 50g for 500g of carrots.
