On What’s Up this week, four major stories related to activities at UM6P have been reported. First, in Rabat, the university formalized a framework cooperation agreement with the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS). This agreement aims to leverage UM6P’s scientific and technical expertise alongside ACAPS’s regulatory proficiency. It includes training programs, capacity-building efforts, academic support, collaborative research, and financial literacy activities. The implementation of this framework will be carried out through specific project agreements. Second, in Benguerir, UM6P hosted the fifth edition of X-ibition, an annual event organized by the Student Organizations, Leadership, and Engagement (SOLE). The 2025 edition saw participation from over 90 student clubs representing Benguerir, Rabat, Khouribga, and Tetouan. Over two days, students showcased projects in innovation, culture, sports, the arts, and social initiatives, with workshops, booths, and live demonstrations. Third, the university in Benguerir hosted an international conference on agricultural extension organized by Al Moutmir and Africa Initiative. Experts, innovators, and representatives of farmers’ organisations discussed the role of extension services in supporting agricultural resilience and adapting to change. Topics included farmer-centred approaches that link research and practice, climate-aware technologies, digital tools, and the involvement of women and youth. Morocco’s experience was shared as an example. Finally, in Rabat, UM6P hosted the closing of the Fintech Startup Acceleration Program by Morocco Fintech Centre. The four-month program, which included training and mentorship at StartGate in Benguerir, aimed to boost startups and foster collaboration among entrepreneurs, experts, and investors from Morocco and Africa. #UM6P #TimesofUM6P #GatheringMindsShapingFutures Social links Follow us on Linkedin: / times-of-um6p Follow us on Instagram: / timesofum6p
