In this virtual education session we cover: -- How MS changes your brain's sleep patterns and what this means for your rest -- An overview of common sleep disorders, including insomnia and sleep apnea -- The difference between MS fatigue and sleep-related tiredness -- When to take your medications for better sleep quality -- Behavioral strategies that can improve your sleep ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Dr. Andrew Wolf attended medical school at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine, and completed Residency and Fellowships at the University of Colorado. His research interests are focused on improving the treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis and other inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system. Current projects include developing digital and blood biomarkers to detect worsening in multiple sclerosis patients, characterizing clinical outcomes of neuroinvasive West Nile virus infection in patients on anti-CD20 treatments, and understanding the risks of immune checkpoint inhibitor use in patients with neuroimmunological disease. He is also interested in the acute management of demyelinating diseases and optimizing inpatient to outpatient care transitions. About the MS Center's Rural Engagement Program The Rocky Mountain MS Center’s Rural Engagement Program aims to build strong connections and lasting relationships with people and families living with MS in rural communities throughout Colorado. Currently, the Rural Engagement Program conducts educational community events and offers free direct support services to people, and families impacted by MS living in Pueblo and Otero Counties, Chaffee County, and Mesa County in Colorado, and Laramie County in Wyoming.
