In this class I guide you through a sequence that’s designed specifically for hip flexor tendon pain, called iliopsoas tendinopathy and bursitis. That is pain in the psoas or hip flexor tendon, right near it’s attachment at the top and front of the femur (lesser trochanter) and the underlying bursa. This is a shortened version of the expanded sequence found within my yoga for happy hips 4 week course, which also includes more thorough programming and information for how to effectively manage and heal this injury on the mat. https://cathyaganoffyoga.lpages.co/yo... It’s important in the early stages of this injury to avoid or really minimise both stretching this tendon and compressing it, as well as repetitive hip flexion and extension movements. This class will not only avoid these things, but also includes poses and exercises that work to strengthen and heal these tissues. This will also support good posture and movement patterns around the hips and pelvis and greater resilience to the loads placed on the hips during yoga poses and life off the mat too!
