This Hip and Kua stretching routine is suitable for beginners and people who want to improve their flexibilty in this area. Different versions for the stretches are given to cater for people at different stages in their practice. :) We start with a gentle warm up for the joints, to prepare for the deeper stretches to come. Further into the sequence a couple of harder stretches are added to give you a bit of a challenge or something to work towards. For Nei Gong and Internal Arts students, it will improve your stances, ability to sit into the kua and move from it. After a while of practicing these exercises, it will also help you get into a more comfortable sitting position for meditation. Please be careful if you have any hip or knee injuries and adjust if you need to. Enjoy moving and opening up your body! :D
